Gather hoods create a larger area for the flow of gasses to escape up the chimney. They are commonly used above an open fireplace. We can manufacture most requirements. The image shows a fireplace gather that needed to be installed in two halves, and so the complete gather is split, and can be screwed together once installed. Additionally the adaptor to flexible chimney liner needed to then be attached to the liner and attached to the gather from the underside, see image 2.
Installation
The gather hood is attached to the base of the chimney and at the top of the chimney chamber, the metal flaps are folded at right angles and screwed into the brickwork.
These gathers are hand made. Every effort is made to get you dimensions exact, please allow for a tolerance of 15mm on all dimensions.
