Difficulties when lighting are usually due to an insufficient draught. Draftbooster provides a draught in the chimney from the outset, making it easier to light the fire.
The draught in the chimney is created by the difference between the high temperature of the smoke and the lower temperature outside. I wanted to give you feedback on the Draughtbooster fan you supplied last month. Firstly excellent service thank you.
So we have been using it for more than a couple of weeks now with our wood burner and it is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. It addresses the issues we were experiencing around insufficient draw from the flue (being a minimal length of approx 4.6 meters because of the single story installation configuration) along with providing numerous other benefits.
We now have " CONTROL" over the burning process and most importantly NO SMOKE OR COMBUSTION FUMES entering the room. "This is what we were unable to tolerate". (As mentioned, I'd fitted the Flue Cube product a year ago in the hope that would increase the draw sufficiently to enable reloading the fire without smoke fumes entering the room but unfortunately it didn't increase the draw sufficiently.)
Below are the positives we are now experiencing from using Draughtbooster:
